About Andrew
A career in senior finance. Now in your corner.
Andrew Hyndes is a CPA-qualified finance professional. He founded Hyndes Advisory & Accounts to bring small businesses, sole traders, not-for-profits and growing organisations the kind of finance support usually kept for big organisations: clean books, clear reporting and a partner who explains what the numbers actually mean.
The short version
Finance that sits on your side of the table.
I spent much of my career in senior finance roles across Victorian Government, helping leaders understand their position, manage budgets, improve reporting and make difficult decisions with better information.
I saw the difference that a capable finance function can make, but I also saw that smaller businesses and community organisations rarely have access to that level of support.
The work of for-purpose organisations is also personal to me. As the father of a daughter with additional needs, I understand the value of organisations that support participants, families and communities. I want to use my experience to help those organisations remain financially strong, accountable and able to focus on the people they exist to serve.
That is why I created Hyndes Advisory & Accounts: to provide practical finance support that keeps the records reliable, makes the numbers understandable and helps people make clearer decisions.
If a term needs explaining, I will explain it clearly.

The approach
What working with a partner feels like.
Done properly
Senior finance discipline from years across Victorian Government, applied to your business. The rigour a big organisation expects, without the big-organisation distance.
Plain English, no exceptions
Every report is explained. If a number is unclear, that is Andrew's problem to fix, not yours to decode.
One person, all year
Not a call centre, not a name you see once at tax time. A single contact who knows your business and picks up the phone.
Support that grows with you
Start with the level of help you need now (clean-up, ongoing bookkeeping, reporting or finance-partner support) and add more as the organisation grows.
Who I help
Built for the organisations that keep communities running.
NDIS and Allied Health providers
Clean records, clear funding acquittals and books that stand up to an audit, so you can focus on participants instead of paperwork.
Not-for-profits
Board-ready reporting, grant tracking and transparent accounts that make treasurers and funders comfortable.
Small businesses
Reliable books, honest advice you can act on and one person who actually picks up the phone.
